Stephen Gloyd also serves as the director of education and curriculum activities in the Department of Global Health at the University of Washington. Dr. Gloyd teaches about the history and political economy of global health from a social justice perspective, research methods for developing countries, and management for global health. He has over 30 years experience working in Africa and Latin America, and his work has focused on improving primary health care through implementation science, with an emphasis on maternal-child health, malaria, tuberculosis, and STD/AIDS programs. He speaks Portuguese, Spanish, and French.
