Oxfam and People's Health Movement are organizing an event to discuss the evidence on whether the public sector or the private sector is more effective in meeting health care needs in poor countries. The event coincides with the release of an Oxfam briefing paper entitled "Blind Optimism: Challenging the myths about private health care in poor countries." Health Alliance International is a member of the People's Health Movement.
