GRACE Fundraiser for our Côte d’Ivoire Program
Date
April 08, 2010
Time
5:30-7:30 PM
Description
GRACE (Grandmothers for Race and Class Equality) is a local Seattle group of grandmothers dedicated to projects that support race and class equity. Last year, GRACE supported HAI efforts by raising money to pay for uniforms for Ministry of Health midwives in Côte d'Ivoire clinics. This year their goal is to raise funds for a medical waste incinerator for clinics in Côte d'Ivoire that will help safely dispose of medical waste. Please join GRACE and HAI for an evening of hors d'oeuvres, wine and a presentation from Health Alliance International staff member Julia Robinson.
The event will be held at the Montlake home of Anne Howells and Seth Armstrong. Please contact Julia (juliarob@uw.edu) at HAI for more details and to RSVP.
If you are unable to attend donations are still appreciated! Checks can be made payable to Health Alliance International (please specify "incinerator" on the memo line) and sent to the headquarters office or you may donate online.
