Event

Operations Research Mini Course 2010

Date

July 30, 2010

Time

9am - 5pm

Description

Health systems research (HSR) and operations research (OR) have been used for decades to improve the quality, efficiency, and effectiveness of service delivery strategies in a variety of health programs.  By integrating research methodology into program implementation, operations research is an important tool to help project managers develop and test new service delivery approaches, improve program effectiveness, and inform policy decisions.

The aim of this workshop is to improve program managers' and researchers' understanding of operations research theory and methodology. It is intended for people involved in STD/HIV programs, including those responsible for the implementation of programmatic and research activities, and those involved in data collection, analyses, and reporting.

The workshop is funded by the Center for AIDS Research at the University of Washington and organized in part by Health Alliance International.
